STATE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY

NOVEMBER 8, 2022

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS IN THE TOWNSHIPS OF LOCKE, LEROY, WHITE OAK, WILLIAMSTOWN AND CITY OF WILLIAMSTON:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A STATEGENERAL ELECTION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2022.THE POLLS WILL BE OPEN FROM

7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

AT THE FOLLOWING POLLING LOCATIONS:

LOCKE TOWNSHIP, Locke Township Hall, 3805 Bell Oak Rd, Williamston

LEROY TOWNSHIP, Precinct 1- Leroy Township Hall, 1685 N. M-52, Webberville

WHITE OAK TOWNSHIP, White Oak Township Hall, 1002 S. M-52, Webberville

WILLIAMSTOWN TOWNSHIP

Precinct 1 – St. Katherines Church, 4650 Meridian Rd, Williamston

Precinct 2- Williamstown Township Hall, 4990 Zimmer Rd, Williamston

CITY OF WILLIAMSTON

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the qualified electors will be voting on the following:

STATE:  Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General.

CONGRESSIONAL:  Representative in Congress.

LEGISLATIVE: State Senator,Representative in State Legislature.

STATE BOARDS:  Member of the State Board of Education, Regent of the University of Michigan, Trustee of Michigan State University, Governor of Wayne State University.

COUNTY:  Treasurer, County Commissioner.

JUDICIAL:  Justice of the Supreme Court, Judge of Court of Appeals, Judge of Circuit Court, Judge of District Court.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE:  Board of Trustees.

Williamston Community Schools Millage Renewal Proposal to Provide Funds to Operate a System of Public Recreation and Playgrounds.

Webberville Community Schools Sinking Fund Millage Proposal.

Perry Public Schools Operating Millage Proposal.

DISTRICT LIBRARY:  Fowlerville Board Member.

DISTRICT LIBRARY PROPOSALS:

Fowlerville District Library Millage Renewal Proposal.

 

 

STATE PROPOSALS:

Proposal 22-1: “A proposal to amend the state constitution to require annual public financial disclosure reports by legislators and other state officers and change state legislator term limit to 12 total yearsin legislature”.

Proposal 22-2: “A proposal to amend the state constitution to add provisions regarding elections”.

Proposal 22-3: “A Proposal to amend the state constitution to establish new individual right to reproductive freedom, including right to make all decisions about pregnancy and abortion; allow state to regulate abortion in some cases; and forbid prosecution of individuals exercising established right”.

Full text of the ballot proposals may be obtained at the elector’s Township or City Clerk’s office. A sample ballot may be viewed at mi.gov/vote.

Absenteeballots are available for all elections; registered voters may contact their local Township or City Clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot.        

 

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille.  Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting their Township or City Clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.

Persons with special needs as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact their clerk’s office.
