PLANNING COMMISSION, JUNE 16, 2020 MEETING MINUTES
LOCKE TWP HALL 3085 BELL OAK ROAD, WILLIAMSTON MI.
1). Meeting was called to order at 700 p.m
2).Present: KitchenMaster, Cook, Carlson and Flint. Absent: VanDooren
3). There were no Addition to the Agenda
4). Public in attendance: Bob Davis
5).Motion to approve January 21st minutes by Cook, supported by Flint, motion carries: Passed
6). Old Business
1). Define job description for recording Secretary for PC by laws.
After discussion the following changes were made to the job description
In the Locke Township Planning Commission Bylaws. See attached document
- For details.
2). Define blight and discuss MTA sample ordinance
After discussion the follow changes were suggested for the MTA Sample Blight
Elimination Ordinance. See attachment B for details.
-Delete Section 2: Cause of Blight or Blight Factors:
Delete last sentence: and shall also include, whether so licensed
Or not any motor vehicle which is inoperative.
-Add sentence “if visible from right of way or any other property” to the
End of Paragraph 3 under Section 2 Cause of Blight or Blighting Factors.
-Delete Paragraph 6 under Section 2 Cause of Blight or Blighting Factors
-Kitchenmaster stated he would contact Edelson for guidance on making
The Ordinance retro- active, if the ordinance should stand on its own
Or will the ordinance be filed with existing zoning ordinances and enforced by the
Zoning Administer. KitchenMaster will report back to the planning commission at
the next scheduled meeting.
3). Review Master Plan Ch. 2
-Planning Commission Members reviewed Master Plan Ch. 2.
They only changes suggested were to update Census information
