* Locke Township Master Plan: Supervisor Lott got in touch with Brad Kotrba from Williams & Works and let him know the board has passed the final Master Plan. This is our New Master Plan.
*Bank CD: After talking with the Board in March, Supervisor Lott is recommending that we put the entire amount back in a 6 month CD with Flag Stone. Any Questions or Comments? *Locke Township Cemetery Signs: After discussion with the Board, Supervisor Lott is recommending that we approve two new signs for the Rowley Rd Cemetery, made by Signs On The Spot for the price of $285 per for the total of $570. *Township Audit: Supervisor Lott got ahold of Aaron Stevens from Manor Costerisan about our biannual audit and he will be in contact with the Clerk and Treasurer in April to let them know what he needs.
*Flags: Clerk Shepler will be purchasing Cemetery Flags in April. We just wanted to make sure it is on the 2025 budget.

Now Supervisor Lott is recommending that Locke Township Board Appoints Glenda Turner to be the interim Clerk until we appoint one.(we have 45 days from this meeting date, which would be 5-23-2025). *SAM [System for Award Management] Renewal: Our contract is coming up in April and Clerk Shepler will be renewing our contract in April
*Planning and Zoning Conference: Jordan Smith would like to attend one of the three dates available and is uncertain on which one because of farming season. He is willing to pay the late walk in fee of $50 and Locke Township would pay the $100 fee for the conference itself. Any Questions or Comments? * Locke Township received a FOIA request from Open The Books on March 6,2025 and was completed on March 13, 2025. While on the topic of FOIA (Freedom of Information Act), it has been brought to my attention that the Locke Township Board should discuss how we will handle any future FOIA requests. - Zoning Administrator Deputy: We need to find a qualified person to help our Zoning administrator Julie Moore out. Supervisor Lott will put on our website if the board is fine with it.

*Non- Statutory Duties Compensation: Looking for a Motion to approve Nathan Lott to be compensated for non-statutory duties, including Alternate NIESA Representative and FOIA Coordinator ( compensation should meet the wage rate established: $17 per hour minimum 2 hours and $80 per monthly meeting). * While I was at the Board of Review appointments it was brought to my attention that it might be beneficial to have a couple Townships combine days because our Assessor works for all of them. Wheatfield is one that would like to for sure but Leroy would like to stay separate. So I’m recommending that we join the two townships together on this. I would like to vote on it and if yes, we would leave it up to our Assessor and Board of Review members to make the details and final decision. Any comments or discussion? *Township Insurance: On Friday March 28,2025, Supervisor Lott meet with Kevin Decker from the Decker Agency and went over our insurance coverage and renewal. Our new policy will be $9,525.00, which is up from last years $8,915.00 ( up 6.8%, $610), which is really good if you look at any other insurance places. On the back page is a Beneficiary page all board members must fill out and return to Supervisor Lott ASAP. Asking for a motion to accept the 2025-2026 insurance policy. Any questions or comments?
