The Locke Township Board met February 11, 2020 in the Locke Township Hall, 3805 Bell Oak Road.
Present: Hart, Turner, Fuller, Shepler, VanDooren. Also, present: Dave Roddy, Robert and Deanna Davis, Sheri Rambo, Dale McGoron.
Absent: None.
Call to order at 7:00 PM by Supervisor Hart followed by pledge to flag.
Additions to agenda/approval of agenda: None.
Public Comment/Presentations: Dave Roddy passed out information for Kristina Lyke (Candidate for Congress).
Leave Dave Roddy at 7:05 PM.
New Business:
Resolution 2020-02 Poverty Guidelines and Income/Asset Tests Resolution. Motion Hart, second Turner to approve Resolution 2020-02 Poverty Guidelines and Income /Asset Tests Resolution. Roll call vote; Aye-Fuller, VanDooren, Shepler, Hart, Turner. Nay-None.
PASSED {5-0}.
Locke Township Rental Agreement update-number/limit of rental per person/organization? Will discuss at April meeting.
Printer quotes to replace multi-office printer discussed.

Action on paying expenses for Board members to attend MTA Annual Educational Conf. [April 27-30 registration $353; 3 nights hotel $228-$426; travel; meals]. Motion Turner, second Fuller to pay expenses for Board members to attend MTA Annual Educational Conf. April 27-30. PASSED {5-0}.
Action on paying trustee additional meeting wage @ $60, ICCMTA Feb 26th in Mason. Motion Shepler, second VanDooren to pay trustee additional meeting wage @ $60 to attend the Feb 26th ICCMTA meeting in Mason. PASSED {5-0}.
Lawn Maintenance in 2020
Chase Lawn Care bid-Rowley, Bell Oak & Shaftsburg Cemeteries [same as last year].
Dan’s Service-Locke Twp Hall [same as last year].
Motion Fuller, second Shepler to accept the 2020 Lawn Care Maintenance bid from Chase Lawn Care for Rowley, Bell Oak & Shaftsburg Cemeteries. PASSED {5-0}.
Motion Shepler, second Fuller to accept the 2020 Lawn Care Maintenance bid from Dan’s Service for Locke Township Hall. PASSED {5-0}.
Wages review [proposed increases highlighted]. Motion Hart, second Fuller to approve the 2020-21 Locke Township wages with increase in hourly wages effective 4/1/2020. PASSED {5-0}.
Budget workshop 2020-21 proposed discussion [Budget Public Hearing, March 3, 2020 @ 7 PM scheduled].
Job posting procedure/Recording Secretary discussed [see page 2 & Jan 23/24 emails from Leroy & Wmstown]. Discussed need to reach out to inform residents of position openings.

*Treasurer- Jan Treasurers report distributed. Motion Fuller, second Hart to approve accounts payable checks #4763-#4789 in the amount of $10,775.93. PASSED {4-0}.
*Supervisor-Attended 01-09 NIESA meeting & 01-15 NIESA personnel committee meeting. Information received from the ICHD, can come to the Township and do a presentation on the proposed Sanitary Code before March 31.
*Zoning Administrator- Jan report distributed, building permits update.

Feb 26th, MTA 2020 Capital Conference in Lansing.
Apr 27-30, 2020 MTA Annual Educational Conference/Expo, Grand Traverse Resort, Traverse City.
Dec 2019 Holiday cards received from: Decker Agency, HSC Services, Chase Lawn Care.
Note-our previous audit company SKT has merged with Maner Costerisan [Audit Agreement soon].
