The Locke Township Board met August 10, 2021 in the Locke Township Hall, 3805 Bell Oak Road.
Present: Hart, Turner, Rambo, Shepler, Davis. Also, present: Mike Gleason, Christine McGoron.
Absent: None.
Call to order at 7:00 PM by Supervisor Hart followed by pledge to flag.
Additions to agenda/approval of agenda: None.
Action on Accounts Payable Independent Bank checks #5216-#5243 totaling $20,614.16. Motion Hart, second Rambo to approve accounts payable checks #5216- #5243 in the amount of $20,614.16. PASSED {5-0}.
Action on July 13, 2021 meeting minutes. Motion Davis, second Shepler to approve the minutes of July 13, 2021 Board of Trustees meeting. PASSED {5-0}.

Disposal of nameplates: Roger Smith, Ken Cook, Shane Gruber, Larry Schulz, George Cornell, Paul Griffes, Vern Cobb. Motion Turner, second Shepler to distribute the nameplates to the named individuals stated. PASSED {5-0}.
COVID Vac’s and masks discussion – mandate or not. Consensus to not require COVID Vac’s and masks at this time. Will review our COVID 19 preparedness and response plan. Consensus to continue disinfecting at the hall.
Action on Resolution 2021-10 Capital Assets Policy. Recommended by auditor to change the current policy reducing the useful life threshold to one year. Motion Shepler, second Hart to adopt Resolution 2021-10 Capital Assets Policy with typo correction tan to than. Roll call vote; Yes- Rambo, Davis, Turner, Hart, Shepler. No- None. Absent- None. PASSED {5-0}.

*Clerk- July Rev/Exp report distributed; Attending MAMC Cemetery conference August 18-20; Will be conducting an election in November- Perry School District and Fowlerville School District millages.
*Treasurer- July Treasurers report distributed.
*Trustee- Davis distributed info on Solar Systems, reported TDS working on lines, Sherwood Rd chip-sealed Shaftsburg to M-52, questioned insurance of AGS electricians, questioned trees growing at township hall in geo thermal area. Shepler questioned wood chip pile & trailer on Shaftsburg Rd.
*Supervisor- Attended July 20th Board of Review; attended July 27th ZBA meeting.
*Zoning Administrator- July report distributed, building permits update.
